Biography I am a social anthropologist interested in comparative religion and politics with an emphasis on Islam and the Muslim world. Specifically, I am interested in transnational knowledge flows and space- and place-making among Muslim communities in South Asia and Western Europe. Before joining Durham University, I was a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Sociology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (2020-2022). I completed my doctorate degree at the Department of Anthropology at Washington University in St Louis (2014-2020).

PhD Topics I am available to supervise doctoral projects on Islam and the Muslim world, as well as on comparative studies of religion. I am particularly interested in projects with an ethnographic component.
