Remittances and real investment: A critical appraisal on South East Asian Economies

Abstract

This research analyzes the relationship between remittances and economic development in the context of South and South East Asian economies by using simultaneous equations model under the concept of panel data least-squares dummy variable regression model. Finally this paper comes out with an inverse relationship between remittances and real GDP in the perspective of Thailand, Sri Lanka, India and Indonesia
