Synthesis and mesomorphic properties of esters with swallow type terminal chain and their ability to enhance or induce anticlinic phases (2002)
Presentation / Conference Contribution
Gasowska, J., Drzewinski, W., Dabrowski, R. S., Przedmojski, J., Czuprynski, K. L., Kenig, K., & Tykarska, M. (2001, December). Synthesis and mesomorphic properties of esters with swallow type terminal chain and their ability to enhance or induce anticlinic phases. Presented at XIV Conference on Liquid Crystals: Chemistry, Physics, and Applications, Zakopane, Poland

Compounds with the terminal swallow tailed chain have been synthesized. The prepared compounds were studied by thermomicroscopy, differential scanning calorimetry, miscibility and X-ray diffraction methods.

Formative Assessment: improving students' experience in the teaching labs
Journal Article
Milian, L. (online). Formative Assessment: improving students' experience in the teaching labs. Online educational research journal,

Formative assessment is recognised as one of the most effective ways to help and promote students’ learning. Students consider laboratory learning to be challenging, though sometimes it is not appreciated and not recognised as a valuable source of le...
