Abstract

Engine manufacturers contemplate adapting technical modifications, exhaust after-treatment options and a shift towards novel combustion concepts. The present study establishes a platform to portray the performance-emission-stability responses of a diesel engine operating with diesel and biodiesel. Based on literature review, the study brings forth the advantages of biodiesel as compared to diesel, and examines its feasibility to fill in the gap to the global transition to electric vehicles. The study manifests the superior performance-emission capabilities of biodiesel, which can be leveraged with greater reliability and confidence.
