Examines the relationship between the Sexual Offences Act 2003 and the Tyrrell principle. Discusses the origins and scope of the Tyrrell principle that a victim can be guilty of participation in the offence unless the law is designed for the protection of the victim. Considers whether the Act contains a discernible policy of protected interests or persons through a survey of the offences created and the age brackets for offenders and victims.
