Abstract
Assesses the scholarship of the administrative law jurist J.A.G. Griffith on local government issues in the light of the wider trends in this jurisprudence from the late 1950s to the early 1970s. Considers what made Griffith's approach to local government studies distinctive. Discusses the contemporary relevance of his insights.
