Examines the Supreme Court ruling in Sharif v Camden LBC on whether the local authority had discharged its duty under the Housing Act 1996 s.193(2) by providing the applicant and her family separate units of hostel accommodation or whether the requirement that the family live "together" meant they should be accommodated under the same roof. Expresses concerns over the statutory interpretation of the concept of "living together apart" employed by the majority decision.
