Biography Paolo Remagnino is full Professor in Computer Science in the Department of Computer Science at Durham University. Remagnino is a computer scientist with a degree in electronic engineering and more than 30 years’ expertise in image and video analysis, artificial intelligence and machine learning. Before joining the Department of Computer Science at Durham University, he was professor in machine vision and artificial for a decade at Kingston University where he led the Robot Vision Team. At Durham University, Remagnino is now a member of the Vision, Imaging, and Visualisation in Durham (VIViD) research group. VIViD main goal is to deliver high-quality, impact-driven research spanning a wide range of international academic and industrial collaborators. Remagnino has led projects in image and video analysis developing solutions for several application domains, including plant science, smart farming, physical security and assisted living.
