Professor of Practical Theology Peter Ward
Biography | I am currently Professor of Practical Theology and Programme Director for the DThM. I have had a particular focus on the use of qualitative methods in theological research. With my colleague Christian Scharen I have led The Ecclesiology and Ethnography network since 2007. Since my book Liquid Church (2002) I have been interested in the religious and theological significance of popular culture. I have published two books on Celebrity Culture and my most recent work has been on Bluegrass Music and Religion. I am very much interested in Practical Theology that seeks to make a difference to the Church and to wider society |
