Biography Edward Gillmore is Associate Professor of International Business and Strategy at Durham University Business School and a visiting academic at Uppsala University Sweden. Prior to joining Durham Edward worked at Jonkoping International Business School (Sweden) and Malardalen University (Sweden) where he received his PhD in 2017. Between 2015 and 2020 he was a visiting research fellow at BI Norwegian Business School, Stanford University (SCANCOR) and Temple University.

His research covers issues of strategy and structure in multinational firms, internal and external network dynamics and the role of technologies and sustainability in value chain transformation. Edward’s work on multinational firms’ foreign subsidiaries strategies and resource management activities has received multiple awards, notably from the Strategic Management Society where he was Strategic Research Foundation Scholar.

He has published his research in leading academic journals including Global Strategy Journal, International Business Review, Transnational Corporations. He also serves on the editorial and review boards of Global Strategy Journal (GSJ), the Journal of Business Research (JBR) and Multinational Business Review (MBR).

He is a member of the executive committee for the Academy of International Business UK and Ireland.
