Dr Anas Bisu

Biography	Anas Bisu is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the department of engineering, Durham University. Prior to his current role, he served as a visiting academic, a member of the IT management committee of the department of engineering and a member of the first cohort of Durham Venture School/Lab. Before Joining Durham, he was a senior lecturer with Bayero University Kano, Nigeria where he conducted research, supported learning, and led programmes in the areas relating to electronics, telecommunications, computing, and entrepreneurship at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Anas received PhD (Engineering) from Durham University, and MSc. in Communications Engineering from the University of Portsmouth. He also obtained MSc. in Electronics and a degree in Electronics (First-Class Honours) from Bayero University, Kano. He also received joint training on Satellite Communications Technology from the University of Oxford and the European Space Agency. Anas’s current research efforts investigate the feasibility and implementation of carbon-neutral technologies in 6G networks. He also conducts research on 3D material and channel characterisations within sub-THz for 6G and beyond communications. He published articles in reputable journals, national and international conferences in the areas of electronics and telecommunication engineering. He has research interest in the following areas of communications engineering.
