Project Title | Experimental and Numerical Investigation of Masonry Infilled Reinforced Concrete Frames with Rubber Joints |
Project Description | This work proposed various computational modelling strategies (macro-scale, meso-scale, and micro-scale) for describing the nonlinear response of masonry infilled system with sliding/flexible joints. The study results show that adding the rubber joints significantly increases the compliance of the system, helping to avoid or reduce the damage to the frame and the infills. |
