Dr Lucy Davies
Biography | Having completed my Primary PGCE at Durham and worked in several County Durham Primary schools while undertaking my MA Education on Creativity, I became an Assistant Professor at the school of Education. In 2021, I finished my PhD which looked at Teachers' Pedagogies of engagement and focused particularly on Mathematics and English in Key Stage 2. I am currently in my fourth year leading the Primary PGCE course and also teach on the BA Education with QTS course. My lecturing experience ranges from National Curriculum subjects (English, Mathematics and History) to wider topics in Education such as Creativity, Student Engagement and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. I have also run research methods workshops for staff and PGR students, including interview techniques drawing on my experience carrying out my own research and having worked as a research assistant for large scale EEF projects. |
