Biography Fran Cavanagh is a postgraduate researcher in the Quantitative Social Psychology research group, investigating the role of ostracism and social exclusion in the formation of social and political attitudes. She is particularly interested in the application of computational methods such as deep learning to research questions in the fields of social and political psychology.

Before joining the Psychology Department at Durham, Fran led analytics and data science teams in the media and communications sectors and worked as a quantitative research consultant specialising in text analytics and survey methodologies.
