Biography Keping Ruan is a Ph.D. student in the School of Education at Durham University, UK. He is under the supervision of Professor Nadia Siddiqui and Professor Gorard Stephen. Keping's current research is centered on "Academic Inequality and Exploitation: A Study on the Workforce in the Chinese Higher Education System."

Before pursuing his Ph.D., Keping earned a Master of Research (MRes) in Politics from the University of Exeter, UK. There, he specialized in empirical studies and research methodologies. His multidisciplinary background, including a Master of Arts (MA) in Philosophy from the University of Sheffield and a Bachelor's degree in Law from Northwest University in China, has enriched his research skills and broadened his methodological perspectives. This unique ability to integrate insights from various fields has been a hallmark of his academic experience.

During his undergraduate studies, Keping participated in two significant research projects: the China Labour Force Survey Project at Sun Yat-Sen University and the Key Project of the National Social Science Foundation, which involved "Dynamic Research on a Chinese-English Dynamic Terminology Database of Humanities and Social Sciences."
