Biography Dr. Efpraxia D. Zamani is an Associate Professor of Information Systems.
Before joining Durham University Business School, Efpraxia was a Senior Lecturer at the Information School, University of Sheffield (UK). Before that, she worked at the Centre for Computing and Social Responsibility (De Montfort University, UK) as a Lecturer.

Her research interests are found at the intersection of organizational and social aspects of Information Systems, with an emphasis on how Information Technology shapes and is being shaped in practice. Her work has appeared in the Information Systems Journal, the Journal of Information Technology, Government Information Quarterly, and Technological Forecasting and Social Change, among others, and she has presented her work in numerous conferences.

Her doctoral studies (2010-2014) at the Department of Management Science and Technology, AUEB (Greece) have been supported by the Herakleitos II PhD Fellowship by the Education and Lifelong Learning Operational Programme (NSRF 2007 – 2013), co-financed by the European Social Fund.
