Abstract

The first part of this review focuses on the move towards more long term budgetary and policy processes through the increased use of medium-term expenditure frameworks and national development plans. It highlights the opportunities and challenges. It is accompanied by another rapid evidence review that looks at how governments’ fiscal positions are affected by different types of risk and how these are managed.
