Abstract
Reflects on European Commission proposals for the European System of Financial Supervision (ESFS) which attempt a re-definition of supervisory competence between Member States and the EU and reform the governance of European Supervisory Authorities. Discusses the proposals for supervision of central counterparties (CCPs), and considers how the UK is likely to respond and whether it will benefit from a more centralised EU regime following Brexit.
