Abstract
Observing mounting geopolitical and geoeconomic tensions, this editorial offers a reflection on what the Finance and Space community has been contributing to the analysis of the current conjuncture. This editorial first illustrates how finance has become embroiled in the wider weaponisation of economic interdependencies in the global economy. It then offers a framework to dissect platformising finance’s interdependencies with global digital technology networks, and, by extension, global production networks. Emerging debates are then recast as an agenda that focuses on the feedback loops between finance, production and digital technology in and between Asia, the European Union and the United States.
