Household Self-Employment Eliminates Child Labour

Abstract
This paper shows that if a minimal proportion of poor households is empowered with self-employment opportunities, child labour will not arise in equilibrium. The economy will have a unique `good' equilib- rium generating a suciently high wage to support full child schooling.
