Form factors of baryons within the framework of light-cone sum rules (2007)
Presentation / Conference Contribution
We present the application of the method of light‐cone sum rules to the determination of baryonic form factors at intermediate momentum transfer. After reviewing the current status of this field we give some outlook on possible future projects.
Next-to-leading order matrix elements and truncated showers (2010)
Presentation / Conference Contribution
An algorithm is presented that combines the ME+PS approach to merge sequences of tree-level matrix elements into inclusive event samples with the POWHEG method, which combines exact next-to-leading order matrix elements with parton showers. The quali... Read More about Next-to-leading order matrix elements and truncated showers.
Some comments on the missing charm puzzle (2000)
Presentation / Conference Contribution
In this talk we summarize the status of theoretical predictions for the average number of charm quarks in a B-hadron decay.
Decay rate difference in the neutral B-system: Delta gamma (B(s)) and delta gamma(B(d)) (2004)
Presentation / Conference Contribution
We review the theoretical status of the predictions for the decay rate differences in the neutral B-system. We find (Delta Gamma/Gamma) Bs = (12 pm 5) 10^(-2) and (Delta Gamma/Gamma) Bd = (3 pm 1.2) 10^(-3).
Lifetimes and oscillations of heavy mesons (2007)

B-mixing in and beyond the standard model (2014)
Presentation / Conference Contribution
We review the status of mixing of neutral B-mesons, including a discussion of the current precision of Standard Model (SM) predictions as well as the space that is left for effects of new physics. In that respect we present several observables, which... Read More about B-mixing in and beyond the standard model.
New possibilities in the study of NLL BFKL (2004)
Presentation / Conference Contribution
The high energy limit of scattering processes in QCD is, at least on the purely theoretical level, described by the BFKL equation. However, many phenomenological studies of BFKL fail miserably when confronted with data. In this talk we will briefly r... Read More about New possibilities in the study of NLL BFKL.
Higgs Working Group Summary Report. (2008)
Presentation / Conference Contribution
Report of the Working Group on Higgs Bosons for the Workshop, ``Physics at TeV Colliders'', Les Houches, France, 11-29 June, 2007.
Next-to-leading order QCD corrections to the lifetime difference of B(s) mesons (1998)
Presentation / Conference Contribution
In this talk we present a calculation of the dacay rate difference in the neutral Bs − Bs system, ????Bs , in next-to-leading order (NLO) QCD. We find a sizeable decrease compared to leading- order (LO) estimates: (????/????)Bs = (fBs/210MeV )2[0.006... What did we learn in theory from the Delta ACP Saga? (2013)
Presentation / Conference Contribution
The measurement of CP violation in the charm sector triggered a lot of theoretical activities and re-considerations. Nevertheless currently neither theory nor experiment have reached definite conclusions about the origin of a large CP violating effec... A New approach to inclusive decay spectra. (2005)
Presentation / Conference Contribution
The main obstacle in describing inclusive decay spectra in QCD - which, in particular, limits the precision in extrapolating the measured \bar{B} \to X(s) gamma rate to the full phase space as well as in extracting |Vub||Vub| from inclusive measureme... All-Order Corrections To Higgs Boson Production In Association With Jets (2009)
Presentation / Conference Contribution
We present a new framework for calculating multi-jet observables. The framework is based on the factorisation of scattering amplitudes in the kinematical limit of large invariant mass between all particles. We show that by constraining the analyticit... Multi-Jet Processes in the High Energy Limit of QCD (2007)
Presentation / Conference Contribution
We discuss how the multi-Regge factorisation of QCD amplitudes can be used in the study of multi-jet processes at colliders. We describe how the next-to-leading logarithmic (NLL) BFKL evolution can be combined with energy and momentum conservation. B... Read More about Multi-Jet Processes in the High Energy Limit of QCD.
A Closer look at the analysis of NLL BFKL (2005)
Presentation / Conference Contribution
The initial analyses of the next‐to‐leading logarithmic corrections to the BFKL kernel were very discouraging. Encouraged by the success of new methods in the analysis of the BFKL equation at full NLL accuracy we demonstrate in this talk how some of... Herwig++ Status Report (2009)
Presentation / Conference Contribution
Herwig++ is the successor of the event generator HERWIG. In its present version 2.2.1 it provides a program for full LHC event generation which is superior to the previous program in many respects. We briefly summarize its features and describe prese... Read More about Herwig++ Status Report.
