Project Title The Ethics of Mental Health
Project Description This project will examine the historical and contemporary discrimination and stigma faced by individuals with mental illnesses, particularly within healthcare. It argues for the integration of philosophical perspectives to address systemic inequities and improve mental health treatment.

By analysing the philosophical roots of stigma, the impact of ableism, the dominance of medical perspectives, and the ethical dilemmas surrounding end-of-life care, the research aims to promote a more just and equitable mental healthcare system grounded in fairness, dignity, and autonomy. Employing theoretical analysis, case studies, and discourse analysis, this work proposes policy reforms to enhance the well-being of individuals with mental illnesses.
