Biography I am a Human Geographer with a focus on Political Geographies of Dispplacement. I specifically investigate Palestinian refugee communities in the Middle East. I employ autoethnography in addition to participatory and creative visual and digital methods to look at two interrelated issues: the geographies of waiting zones, and the decolonial potentialities that arise within them. In my earlier research, I examined the mechanisms which enable Palestinian refugees in Lebanon’s camps to endure protracted displacement and make ‘home’ in overlooked spaces. My publications document community cooperation strategies in the camps at times of shrinking humanitarian aid, such as food sharing, sisterhoods social care, alternative decolonial education, and community healthcare during the pandemic.
