Abstract
This monograph studies the significance of modality for philosophy and the whole body of the humanities. According to the author, a professor at Emory University, from the indicative mode of pre-Kantian thought through the imperative mode of post-Kantian criticism philosophy enters a third epoch of thought in the conjunctive mode.
