Abstract

This book, which is aimed at senior undergraduate students, provides an introduction to the differential geometry of surfaces in Euclidean space. Topics include Gaussian curvature, Theorema Egregium, geodesics, Gauss-Bonnet Theorem. There is a final more advanced chapter on minimal surfaces.

Additional Information There are many exercises, with outline solutions given to 1/3 of these. There is also an on-line solutions manual available to lecturers adopting the textbook for their class.
